CHICAGO, IL: Musicality workshop. Have you ever noticed that the better you know a song, the more comfortable you are moving to the music? This workshop will help the dancer become familiar with the different styles and rhythms of the most commonly heard orchestras in milongas. The dancer will walk away with more knowledge of how to recognize orchestras, what rhythms and phrasing to listen for, and how to dance to the various tango orchestras we know and love. The class will be broken down into two sections: music theory and and dance practica. By the end of the class, the dancer will have a better understanding tango orchestras, rhythms, harmonics, phrasing, and how to interpret this in dance.
